Education: Andy completed his undergraduate studies at Hampden-Sydney College, Oxford University and The University of Mississippi. He received his law degree from The University of Mississippi School of Law, where he was a member of the National Security Law Journal, the Delta Theta Phi honorary legal fraternity and director of the Phi Alpha Delta Legal Research Exchange.   

Legal Experience: Andy is licensed to practice in all Mississippi state and federal courts.  He was a founding member of Freeland Shull, PLLC, in October of 2007.  His practice includes the defense of personal injury lawsuits (worker's compensation, medical malpractice, product liability, automobile torts, premises liability), as well as professional liability claims, contract drafting and disputes and a host of other litigation-related matters.  Andy is a frequent seminar speaker on workers' compensation, bad faith litigation, uninsured-underinsured motorist law and various other litigation topics. He is also a certified mediator for the Kids' Chance Scholarship Fund Mediation Project of the Mississippi Bar Association's Workers' Compensation Division.  The Kids' Chance program provides scholarships to the children of workers who have been killed or permanently disabled in work-related injuries in Mississippi.  For more information about the Kids' Chance program, please click here.

Legal Service: Andy was appointed to a second term of service on the Character and Fitness Committee of the Mississippi Board of Bar Admissions, which screens all candidates for admission to the practice of law in Mississippi.  He has previously served as president of the Tri-County Junior Bar Association, Vice-President of the Lafayette County Bar Association and secretary of the Lafayette County Bar Association. He is a member of the American Inns of Court, the Defense Research Institute (DRI) and Mississippi Defense Lawyers Association (MDLA).

Awards/Professional Recognition: Andy is recognized by American Registry as one of the Mid-South’s Outstanding Young Lawyers.  Andy was also selected as a “Rising Star” in the “Mid-South SuperLawyers” Magazine, for 2010, and has been designated as a "Super Lawyer" for 2011.

Community Involvement: Andy is an avid runner and guitarist, and is actively involved in his church, where he serves as an elder, Bible study leader and worship leader.

Family: Andy lives in Oxford with his wife of 17+ years, Ann Paige, their four sons, Park, Bennett, Charlie and Hank, and two dogs, Lucy and Ethel.
